Bicester Athletic Club seeks town's support for £50,000 grant

BICESTER Athletic Club is appealing for the public to support it in a bid to secure sports funding.
The club has applied to the Norwich Union Community Sports Fund for £12,500 and has been given a chance to win another £50,000 to improve the town's sports facilities if they get enough votes from the public.
People are encouraged to vote for the club before midnight on September 14 and the club will also be collecting votes on Sheep Street on Saturday, September 6 between 10am and 2pm.
The club has already secured £70,000 of lottery funding to improve long jump and high jump facilities in the town.
Anyone wanting to vote for the club should log onto www.joinourteam.com, click vote now, then south east region then the club's name. Everyone who votes will be entered in a prize draw to win £500.
