BUCKINGHAM West End Bowls Club, represented by Lyn East, Pat Costello, Jenny Evans and Maggie Keatley have successfully reached the final of the EBA County Ladies Fours.
The final takes place at Chesham Bowls Club on July 22.
In the quarter final on June 2 against Princes Risborough they picked up three shots on the last end to win 17-16. This was a very keenly contested match.
In the semi-final in the afternoon, they played an extremely strong side from Chesham Bowls Club. Despite being 18-6 down at one point they fought back to once again pick up three shots on the last end to win 21-20.
This result means the four have qualified for the National Championships at Leamington in July.
Winslow Bowls Club is holding an open day tomorrow, Saturday, at the club in Elmfields Gate (entrance is off the car park).
It will be open from 10am-4pm and beginners and experienced players of all ages are welcome.
