BUCKINGHAM Town Sunday 1sts beat Brixworth in their F.G.Watts League match by 12 runs.
Town snatched victory with a late rally after the visitors to Bourton Road looked set to win. Town elected to bat first and scored a useful 185-4 from their 40 overs against a youthful Brixworth side.

Robin Pritchard returned to form with 59 not out, well supported by Callum Cater 45. Openers Kevin D'Silva(28) and Mike Taylor(17) had given Town a steady start.

In reply Brixworth, thanks to Cunningham(69) and M.Cowley(40), looked likely winners until a late collapse saw them close on 173-8, thus averting a shock defeat for Town.

Callum Cater, 3-39, and Lawrence D'Silva, 2-23, bowled Town to victory after tidy spells from Rob Laird 1-25 and Josh Whitehead. Robbie Cook got the important wicket of Cunningham.
