WARWICK University Staff went top of the South Northants Premier Division by seven points on Saturday, but there were mixed fortunes for Evenley teams.
Fourth-placed Evenley 1st XI lost at Bodicote and also went down to Byfield in the final of the Premier Division KO Cup by 17 runs.

But Evenley A beat Gayton at home in the New England Financial Services Division Two by four wickets, Chris Scott grabbing 3-41 for Evenley.

Premier Division leaders Byfield saw their game at home to Priors rained off, giving them 10 points.

Warwick University Staff moved to the top of the table with a win at Fenny Compton, gaining 20 points.

Third-placed Syresham were home winners over Woodford Halse by seven wickets.Matt Butler topscored with 42 runs for Syresham.

Finmere beat Maids Morton by 197 runs in Division Three, Tommy Coe hitting a magnificent 162 not out for Finmere, who posted 278-2. Moreton made 171-3.

Thornborough beat Radway in Division One by 72 runs.In Division Two leaders Hinton beat Croughton by eight wickets.
