HINTON-in-the-Hedges are champions of Division Two with an unassailable 92-point lead after a 51-run win over Gayton last Saturday.
Jamie Walker, 3-22, Paul White, 3-31 and Sean Ellam, 2-8, were the pick of the Hinton bowlers as they restricted the visitors to 77 all out. Hinton made 128, with Neil Bobsin grabbing 4-20 and Chris Reeve 3-36. Opener Mark Linford scored 19 and Steve Cone 22.

Matt Bishop hit a number of fours and a monstrous six before being caught for 16. James Stopps impressed with his 12 runs for Hinton.
Also in Division Two there were wins for Greens Norton, Gawcott & Hillesden, Wardington and Hanslope.

Greens Norton beat Croughton by 121 runs, Mike Bristow topscoring with 55 in Norton's total of 205-7, supported by Simon Hawley 45 and Neil Taylor 36. Clive Atkins took 3-42. In reply Croughton made 84-8, Simon Fleming grabbing 2-7 and Bristow 3-12.

Gawcott & Hillesden ran out comfortable winners by 61 runs over Evenley A. Gawcott posted 160-8, compared to Evenley's 99 all out. Ben Jones hit an unbeaten 45 for Gawcott, with Evenley's Chris Scott grabbing 3-36. Scott also topscored with 27 not out. Colin Piggott was Gawcott's chief wicket taker with 5-15, aided by Ashley Griffiths 2-30.

Hanslope saw off Warwick University Staff A by seven wickets. Hanslope made 58-3, compared to Staff's 57 all out. Will Giffin grabbed 5-14 and Alan Brown 2-14.

In the Woodford Halse Social Club Premier Division, Warwick University Staff were toppled from top spot by fourth-placed Evenley, who won by 61 runs. Anthony Romaine 65, and Martin Russell, 63, were the mainstay of the Evenley batting in their total of 203. Romaine also took 2-40, Talib Ali 2-31 and Alan Sylvestor 3-42 as Staff were restricted to 142.

Byfield lead the table narrowly after an eight-wicket success over Fenny Compton. Fenny, who only fielded nine players, were dismissed for just 38, while Byfield scored 40-2. Joe Fox notched 3-5 for the victors, supported by Jake Heath 2-5 and Matt Kirkham 2-9.

Priors beat Marston St.Lawrence by 41 runs. Third-placed Syresham are staging a late rally for title honours following a nine-wicket success over anchor team Willoughby. The latter were skittled out for only 67, George Brock grabbing 3-9. Brock also topscored with an unbeaten 53 in Syresham's total of 71-1.

In Division One mid-table Thornborough enjoyed a 75-run win over Culworth, posting 163 all out compared to Culworth's 88. Aidan Birch was the star of the show for Thornborough, hitting 88 and taking 3-4.

Table toppers Byfield A sunk Silverstone by 96 runs. Silverstone made 115-7, Phil Berry the highest scorer with 34. Stephen King stroked 61 for Byfield in their innings of 211-8.

In Division Three, leaders Preston Bissett pipped Finmere by just one run in a thrilling encounter. Bissett posted 132-8, which was enough to see them home by a whisker. Mike Geelan hit 54 for Finmere, supported by 30 from Tommy Coe. Coe also grabbed 4-38, while Brijesh Valembhia took 3-20 for the visitors. Wroxton were winners against Maids Moreton, Naz Hussain scoring 52 in their total of 190. Andy Hamilton took 3-30.

Second-placed MK Air (95-5) were winners against Crownhill (94 all out) by five wickets.

Division Four leaders Syresham A maintained their title hopes with a win by 34 runs over Middleton Cheney. Matt Cooper took 5-20 as Cheney were 73 all out. Syresham made 107, Harry Brock hitting 29. In the same division Charlton (169-9) beat Chipping Warden (156-9) by 13 runs.

In Division Five, leaders Helmdon sunk anchor side Brackley by 96 runs. Charlie Arrand, 28, and James Turnham, 39, were Helmdon's mainstay as they posted 134 all out. Brackley made just 38, with Alex Blanchard claiming a magnificent 9-15.

Silverstone A beat Dunchurch & Bilton by 44 runs. Silverstone were 189-5, with John Fowler hitting 32 and Pete Neal a useful 58. Dunchurch made 145 all out. Grange Park A enjoyed a 142-run victory over Middleton Cheney A.
