SAINTS ended the stubborn resistance of Stourbridge in this replayed FA Cup second round qualifier on Tuesday, winning 1-0 thanks to a Scott Hadland 78th-minute penalty.
After a goalless first half, Hadland struck following a handball in the box by substitute Gavin Winsper. The Brackley player's spot-kick was saved by keeper Lewis Solly, but he fired in the rebound.
Brackley now travel to Hertfordshire Ryman League Premier Division side Boreham Wood in the third qualifying round on Saturday, October 11, kick-off 3pm.
Saints made a couple of changes following Saturday's 1-1 draw at Stourbridge. New signing and former Luton striker Tony Thorpe joined last weekend's goalscorer Ben Mackey up front in place of Danny Spencer, with Tom Winters continuing on the wing.
Josh Green, sent off in Saturday's clash between the two Southern League Premier Division sides, lined up in defence as his ban had not yet come into effect.
Anthony Fontanelle, a substitute at the weekend, came into the back four and David Staff also played.
Brackley created a number of chances in the first half, with the best opportunity falling to Mackey in the 27th minute, but his close-range shot was blocked by Solley.
Green made a vital tackle two minutes before the break when Ryan Broadhurst was through on goal for the visitors.
The second half was dominated by Brackley, with Mackey again going close with a shot cleared off the goal-line, while Thorpe's effort was fingertipped over the bar by Solley.
Saints suffered a scare in the 72nd minute when Sam Rock's header was disallowed for offside.
After Hadland's goal, Brackley kept their lead well and closed out the game for a narrow win. Thorpe was replaced by Dave Savage late on.
Brackley: Knight, Farley, Fontanelle, Pierson, Green, Blossom, Staff, Hadland, Thorpe (Savage), Mackey, Winters.
Saints take a breather from cup action when they host Swindon Supermarine in the league on Saturday, October 4, kick-off 3pm.
Boreham Wood, Brackley's next FA Cup opponents, are currently eighth in the Ryman Premier League table after two wins and two defeats in their campaign.
Brackley are also eighth in the BGB Southern League Premier Division, with Farnborough setting the pace at the top.
