BUCKINGHAM Town edged a thrilling pre-season home friendly 4-3 against New Bradwell on Tuesday (29/07).
Former Kettering Town player Michael McKenzie scored twice for the Robins as they came back from a 2-1 half time deficit to grab the win.

Gary Flynn and Ben Hill were also on target for Buckingham leaving the UCL Division One side unbeaten in pre-
season matches.

Manager Tony Joyce said afterwards: "We have kept most of last year's squad and made around seven or eight new signings for 2008/9.

"The newcomers have all done well and I am pleased with what I have seen in our pre-season games.

"We play Peterborough North Star in our first league game on Saturday August 9 and I am looking forward to the encounter."

On Saturday (02/08) the Robins entertain Thame United in a friendly, 3pm kick-off.

Last Saturday Town's friendly against Bicester Town was cancelled because the Robins were unable to field a full line-up.

Launton Sports went down 5-1 to Abingdon Town in a friendly last Saturday at Bicester MoD camp.

Hellenic League East side Launton were behind 5-0, but managed a consolation goal through Mark Woods in the 90th minute.

Fellow Hellenic League side Ardley United host Didcot Town on Saturday (02/08), kick-off 3pm, following a friendly against Northampton Spencer last Tuesday.
