MURSLEY United's season came to a disappointing end in the Molten Spartan South Midlands Division 2 Cup final as they were defeated 6-0 by Kings Langley, who completed a league and cup double.
The game was played at Tring Athletic's ground, last Friday night (09/05) with a crowd of 162 watching.

The opening exchanges found Kings Langley playing neat and compact football and they went ahead on 10 minutes when Walker finished after Mursley failed to clear a corner.

They extended their lead from another corner after 25 minutes, with Conway netting for them. Four minutes later, Pritchard headed home.
Mursley rallied after this and both Will Smith and Martyn Shaw shot over the bar before Steve Mooney had a 20-yard shot pushed away by keeper Marsh.

From the resulting corner, the ball was swiftly cleared into Mursley's half and Conway scored with a calm lob over the advancing Abson.
Manager Kit Bamber introduced Ed Mills and Craig Ralph at half-time and two minutes into the second period, a low drive from Mills was kicked off the line.

However, Mursley's chances remained limited.

On 60 minutes, Mursley conceded a penalty after a foul on Conway and Bircham converted to make the score 5-0. Three minutes later, Conway completed his hat-trick as he tapped in from close range after a free-flowing move.

Gary Burgess just failed to meet a Craig Ralph cross and Brian Nixon headed just wide as Mursley looked to restore some pride, but the consolation goal would not come.

In the South Midlands League Division Two, Mursley finished in 10th spot behind champions Kings Langley, who are line for promotion with second-placed Crawley Green.
