Consistent pressure from Sports resulted in them taking the lead on 25 minutes through Dan Delvalle slotting the ball home after great play involving Andy Jenner and Josh Rose.
With challenges flying in from both sides, Sports were unlucky to con
cede just before the break with a strong finish from the left wing.
After the break, Sports regained the lead on 50 minutes through Oliver Prentice converting a penalty after a foul on Rose.
A spot-kick at the other end brought things level 10 minutes later. A nasty injury to man of the match Delvalle saw him taken to hospital and replaced by Lee Dawson. The latter clinched the winner after beating two defenders to make it 3-2.
On Saturday, March 29, Sports travel to
Grendon Rangers for more league action, while the following Thursday they face
Steeple Claydon once again in the semi-final of the Buckingham Charity Cup.
Premier Division Leaders Lavendon Sports drew 2-2 at home to
Thornborough Athletic. Lavendon top the table with a six-point lead over PBMK and have an eight point advantage over third-placed Claydon, who have three games in hand.
In the Premier Division Trophy semi-finals
Grendon Rangers ran out impressive 3-1 winners at
Deanshanger Athletic, Baines netting Athletic's only goal.
In the other semi-final PBMK cruised to a 4-0 home win over
Potterspury, White grabbing a brace, aided by goals from Lawless and Millington.
In the Intermediate Division third-placed
Syresham maintained their title challenge with a 3-0 win at Workplace Wanderers, while second-placed Brickhill Rangers edged
Yardley Gobion at home 2-1 to remain four points adrift of leaders
Stewkley.
Great Horwood went down 2-1 at Castlethorpe.
In Division One,
Steeple Claydon Reserves lost 3-1 at home to Bletchley Town, while
Yardley Gobion Reserves were trounced 9-0 at home by Rangers.
Potterspury Reserves were beaten 2-1 at Great Linford.
Wicken Sports enjoyed a 5-1 victory at Bletchley Town Reserves in Division Two. Jason and Jamie Dundas netted braces apiece, with Wharton chipping in with a goal.
Great Horwood Reserves lost 7-1 at Wolverton Town Reserves, while
Syresham Reserves were beaten 2-1 at home to
Stewkley Reserves.
Charlton lost 2-1 to
Grendon Rangers Reserves, Wood firing home a brace.
Marsh Gibbon Reserves won 3-0 against Hanslope Reserves.
