DEANSHANGER Athletic moved to the top of the North Bucks and District League Premier Division with a 4-2 success at Southcott Village RA on Saturday (04/10).
Second-placed Lavendon Sports saw off third team AFC Brickhill Rangers 6-3 away, Nash (2), Johnson, Cole, Messant and Old the scorers.

Brackley Sports continued their fine form with a 3-1 home win against Syresham. Sports went behind to an early goal, but Ollie O'Driscoll made it 1-1 from 30 yards out. Gavin Hansell wrapped up the points with a brace, the first goal from a pass by Mark Mounsden.

In the Intermediate Division, Great Horwood grabbed their second win of the season with a 2-1 home success over Workplace Wanderers, O'Biri and Archer netting for Horwood. Leaders Rangers XI won 3-1 at Hanslope, while fifth-placed Twyford United lost 6-4 at PB Wolverton Town, O'Conner and Phillips hitting braces apiece for PB.Marsh Gibbon crashed 5-0 at home to Sherington.

In Division One Potterspury's unbeaten start to their campaign ended with a 5-1 defeat at Lavendon Sports Reserves. Wicken Sports lost 2-1 at home to MK Titans Reserves, Clarke on the scoresheet for Sports.

In Division Two, Westbury share top spot with Deanshanger Athletic Reserves after winning 4-1 at home to Marsh Gibbon Reserves. Cooper (2), Derby and Alcock netted for Westbury. Deanshanger Reserves beat Heath Panthers 1-0, Tapp the scorer.

Third-placed Charlton drew 2-2 with Great Horwood Reserves, Hensler and Redmond scoring for Charlton.

Syresham Reserves and Twyford United Reserves both lost, while Grendon Rangers Reserves drew 1-1 with Stewkley Reserves.

In the Berks & Bucks FA Intermediate Cup first round last Saturday, Grendon Rangers won 2-0 at Bierton, Newman and Perna netting. Steeple Claydon enjoyed a 2-0 home success over Aston Clinton, Rumble and Hammond on target, while Thornborough Athletic trounced Bletchley Trees 4-1, Davies, James and Parker (2) scoring.

In the Northants FA Junior Cup Silverstone were 2-0 winners over Northampton Liberty Stars, Richardson grabbing a brace. Yardley Gobion saw off Eye Sports & Social Club 2-1 at home, Baker notching both goals for Yardley.
