Buckingham Town grabbed their second league win of the season with a comfortable 4-1 victory at home to Wootton Blue Cross in the UCL Division One on Saturday.
Player boss Tony Joyce put the Robins ahead after 14 minutes with a low, angled shot from a free kick.

Joel McCormick, who has rejoined Town after a summer of football in America, netted the second in the 28th minute after a solo run into the box.

Substitute Reuben Max-Grant wrapped up the points with a second half brace, replacing the injured Tyrone Taylor. Wootton scored with a 75th minute goal from Sam Dandio.

Brackley Town went down 2-1 at home to Hitchin Town in the Southern League Premier Division - their second league loss in a row. Ben Mackey levelled the scores for Brackley with a 33rd minute strike, but Barr's 90th minute winner bagged the three points for the visitors.

There was disappointment for Hellenic League Premier Division clubs Bicester Town and Ardley United. Town lost 3-0 in an FA Cup preliminary round tie at Bracknell Town, while Ardley were beaten 1-0 at home to Chalfont Wasps in the league.

In Division One East, Launton Sports drew 1-1 at home with Finchampstead.

Resurgent Winslow United continued their good run in the South Midlands League Division One with a 1-0 win at Arlesey Athketic, but out-of-form Buckingham Athletic slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Brache Sparta.

In Division Two, Mursley United fought out a 2-2 draw with Tring Corinthians to remain unbeaten in their last three games. Padbury United's fine start to the season took a knock with a 4-0 drubbing by high-riding Markyate.
