Buckingham Town travel to Huntingdon Town this Saturday looking to get their game back on track after recent losses.
They went down 3-0 at home to UCL highfliers Irchester United on Tuesday, following a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Wellingborough Whitworths last Saturday.

With a further 5-4 loss at Eynesbury Rovers the previous weekend, the Robins have no points
on the board since the big freeze struck and are slipping worryingly down the UCL Division One table.

Against second-placed Irchester, it was always going to be tough.

The visitors took a 1-0 lead through a Pat Diamond own goal in the 20th minute and increased their tally in the 35th minute with a Paul Caswell strike. His brother, Chris, sealed victory five minutes before the final whistle.

Against Wellingborough, Buckingham were disjointed and ineffective against a side who had inflicted a 7-0 drubbing against the Robins back in September.

Dan Thompson fired home in the 44th minute for a 1-0 lead. Buckingham had a penalty chance for the equaliser but it was saved by keeper Britten. Ryan Lovell clinched the win in the 90th minute.

The committee of the Ford Meadow club and Buckingham Town FC would like to invite all interested parties to attend a meeting on Friday February 5 starting at 7.15pm.

The meeting is to invite ideas and suggestions as to how to increase its involvement with the local community and to improve fund raising and the number of functions and events at the club during 2010.
The club would be particularly interested to hear from any people who would like to get more involved at the club and any third party organisations who would be interested in sharing facilities. If you have any suggestions contact chairman Tony Rosenberg on 07973 147702 or manager Phil Simons on 07952 410617.
