A GOAL in the third minute for debutant Alex Fisher, followed by a strike one minute later by Danny Spencer, gave Brackley Town a dream start to their match against Bromsgrove Rovers on Saturday (08/03).
Tom Winters sealed the fine home win for Saints with a superb shot in the last minute of the game to make it 3-0 to the BGB Southern League Premier Division side.

In the Sport Italia Hellenic League Premier Division Bicester Town grabbed a 1-0 win away at Fairford Town, while Ardley United lost out 3-0 at home to Shrivenham.

Launton Sports bagged a point with a 0-0 draw at home to Pewsey Vale in the Hellenic Division One West.

Buckingham Town bounced back from their 6-2 defeat at the hands of Daventry Town last week in Division One of the Eagle Bitter United Counties League. The Robins banked all three points from Saturday's home clash with sixth-placed side Whitworths, winning 4-1.
Buckingham went ahead after five minutes through Nick Bines and doubled their lead after ten minutes through Keith Newby.Whitworths pulled a goal back on the hour, but two minutes later Joel McCormick restored the Robins lead. McCormick sealed victory with a goal five minutes from time, but failed to convert a late penalty.

Winslow United continued their recent run of good form, making it three wins out of three with a 4-2 home victory over Bedford in Division One of the Molten Spartan South Midlands League. Winslow have now moved up to 15th spot in the league, and if their winning streak continues could put some more daylight between them and the relegation zone.

In the same league, Buckingham Athletic lost narrowly 1-0 away to Brache Sparta.

In Division Two of the SML, Mursley United went down 2-0 away at Pitstone & Ivinghoe. It was an even more miserable day for Padbury United who were thumped 8-0 at Caddington. They could take small comfort from the fact that their losing margin wasn't the worst in the division – bottom side Markyate were thrashed 13-1 by second-placed Crawley Green…
