Jenson Button could only manage sixth as Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel led all the way to win the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday (21/6).
F1 championship leader Button, driving for the Brackley-based Brawn team, was eclipsed by team-mate Rubens Barrichello, who finished third behind Red Bull's Mark Webber, driving the other Renault.

The result leaves Button with a reduced lead of 23 points over Barrichello in the Grand Prix standings, with Vettel a further two points behind.

Button never really got into the race after qualifying in a lowly sixth spot on the grid behind pole sitter Vettel. He made up a few places from ninth position on the first lap, but struggled to make any impact on the dominant Red Bull twosome of 21-year-old Vettel and Webber.

Last year's winner Lewis Hamilton finished a disappointing 16th for McLaren, but Giancarlo Fisichella gave some hope for the Silverstone-based Force India Mercedes team by coming home in 10th spot. Team-mate Adrian Sutil was 17th.
