BRACKLEY-based Honda F1 Racing and team principal Ross Brawn have stated the team is in no hurry to announce its driver line-up for the 2009 season, despite rumours linking Fernando Alonso with them.
Jenson Button is expected to remain with the team, but the future of F1 veteran Rubens Barrichello remains unclear. Rumours circulating the F1 paddock suggest that two-time world champion Alonso may find himself in a Brackley-entered Honda next year.

Button finished 13th in the Grand Prix of Europe on Sunday and Barrichello 16th. Brawn commented: "I think every team, except one, would welcome him. We are no different in that area, so who knows what may happen. I don't think we will make any steps forward in our decision-making until the end of September or the beginning of November."

"Currently Fernando is contracted to drive for Renault, but I am sure once he makes a move the rest of the F1 driver market will fall into place quite quickly."
