Buckingham produced a scintillating display of fast flowing rugby to whitewash Oakmeadians 76-0 and move up to fifth spot in the South West I East league.
This was the team they had narrowly beaten by one point at Bournemouth in September and completes their first double in the league.
Boasting a much bigger heavier pack than Buckingham the visitors were regularly shunted back by the home eight, who were faster and fitter throughout the afternoon.
The visitors' backs showed little appetite for the fray when faced with the onrushing Buckingham three-quarters and certainly the quality of defence left a lot to be desired.
Buckingham made an explosive start driving deep into the Oakmeadians 22 before no 8 Tompkinson picked up from the back of the scrum and crashed over, Colver converting superbly from the touchline.
More good work from the forwards set up good attacking platforms for the eager backs and further tries from the
impressive Bernard and Jackson both converted by Colver gave Buckingham a 21-0 lead within 20 minutes.
Lee was next to score followed by another from the superb Laird, both converted by the deadly boot of Colver, who also added a penalty to make it 38-0 at half time.
Buckingham were back into their stride from the re-start and almost before the large crowd of nearly 300 had settled in their places, Amos had burst over from a well worked line-out move.
From another scrum Laird forced his way over and after some superb lines of running by the backs Colver popped up on the left to score under the posts converting both his own and Laird's try.
Buckingham increased their lead to 62-0 when Turvey off loaded to Hawkins to score in the corner. Another desperate kick by the visitors went nowhere and their defence was swallowed up for Bernard to score his second and Colver his seventh conversion.
Finally a fine run by Turvey almost saw another try for Hawkins, but from the resulting line-out soon after skipper Hartnett jinked through for a try and an early conversion for Colver making it 76-0 and a fine victory.
Buckingham will hope to keep their fine form going at home against Olney in the Bucks Cup this Saturday, kick-off 2pm.
