PRESTON Gawcott under-10s Jaguars ran out 8-5 winners in an entertaining game at home against Heeland Rangers Charlies last Saturday (04/10).
After weathering early pressure from the visitors, with strong defending by Samuel Lovis and Steven Cordes, Jaguars moved into a four-goal lead.
The Charlies hit back before half time to make it 4-2. After the break the game swung from end to end,
finishing with goals from both sides. Jack Cain scored his first goal for Gawcott and man of the match Luke Page netted five.

Local teams Preston Gawcott under-12s Pumas and Steeple Claydon met for the first game of Division 3 on Sunday, September 28, Gawcott coming away with a convincing 5-1 win.
From the whistle Claydon had good possession, but Gawcott hit back with Sam Astin scoring the opener.
Claydon came back straight after, with a long range clearance lobbing over the Gawcott keeper and slotting into the net. A good cross from Benji Spencer on the left wing saw Sam Astin get a foot onto the ball to score his second of the game. After the break, Gawcott scored two great goals from Louis Williams and Josh Smith.
Spencer then got his first goal for the club with a long range effort from the wing. Man of the match was Benji Spencer.

Preston Gawcott under-12s Pumas played at Olney and fought out a 3-3 draw. Olney scored the opener which was quickly equalised by a magnificent run by Benji Spencer who slotted it into the back of the net. Preston then got a corner that swung in and was headed home by Josh Smith. Olney replied with a corner that was cleared off the goal line by Aidan Deeney, but they carried on the counter attack and equalised to make it 2-2 just before half time.
After the break, a throw-in from Dene Field saw George Smith cross the ball with Louis Williams finishing it off to take the lead. Olney fought back and pulled back another goal to level it up. Man of the match was Louis Williams.

Preston Gawcott under-15s Pumas went down to Moretonville 2-1 away in a tight game. Pumas took an early lead when Josh Skillington slotted home from an acute angle, but right on the stroke of half time, Callum Hayter equalised with a nice finish.
The game was eventually won by Ville due to an own goal midway through the second period. Man of the match for Pumas was Antonio Amoroso.
