A Buckingham beautician will be attempting the biggest challenge of her life, when she takes part in the London Marathon in April.

Anita Stubbings, who owns Body Matters in Well Street, will be running in support of Maids Moreton woman Sarah Fleming and her son Tommy.

Tommy, was born five years ago, at the same time as Anita’s son, Austin. The two mums became close friends after meeting at a post-natal group.

But at seven months old, Tommy was diagnosed with a rare condition, Wolf Hirshhorn Syndrome.

His needs have grown increasingly complex and he now needs care 24 hours a day.

Anita is raising money for a speciald stroller for Tommy, costing £1,000, and for the Wolf Hirshhorn Syndrome Trust, which supports families whose children are affected by the syndrome.
