DRIVING: A new competition from the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy aims to find Britain’s Best Young Driver.

The initiative builds on research suggesting learning to drive at age 16 can almost half the chance of an accident in a driver’s first year.

Participants are put through five tests to hone their skills, with prizes including a free full course of lessons. Sessions cost £45, and applicants must be over 16 years old and 1.5m tall.
