As Buckingham Art School expands into its fifth year, the school has taken on two nationally acclaimed artists to accommodate the growing demand.

Lorna Giézot, who has exhibited her work throughout Europe and the US and also taught painting at London’s renowned Goldsmiths University, will be teaching a mixed media evening class and also a figurative sculpture course.

Katrina Van Grouw, author of The Unfeathered Bird and a former curator at London’s Natural History Museum, will be teaching natural history illustration on Friday afternoons.

Buckingham Art School now offers 18 different classes for all abilities and ages. All this year’s A-level and AS-level students passed, with over half receiving A grades.

There’s a chance to meet the tutors and sign up for courses at an exhibition of exam work from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, September 11 at Buckingham Art School, Stowe Castle, on Bycell Road.
