BLISWORTH: Railway workers paddling along the Grand Union Canal from Paddington to Stoke are hoping narrow boaters will help them tackle the Blisworth Tunnel this weekend.

Andy Armstrong and Gaz Bailey are hoping boaters will keep an eye on them as they make their way through the 3,000 yard tunnel at around 7am on Saturday, August 27.

The pair are raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society in the name of Mr Armstrong’s father who completed a similar journey in 1977.
