CRICKET: Buckingham Town Cricket Club held a well-attended presentation evening last Friday at Bourton Road.

The 2011 awards were as follows.

1st XI: Ashley Pearson won both the batting award and players’ player of the year award with James Gear picking up the bowling award (37 wickets).

2nd XI: Graham Judd won both the batting award and player’s player of the year with Dominic Pritchard claiming the bowling award with 40 wickets.

3rd XI: Adrian Freeman won both the batting award and players’ player of the year award, with Matt Dipple taking the bowling award.

For the Sunday side Ryan Freshwater (15) won the batting award and Ben Cater the bowling award with the captain’s player of the year awarded to Mark James.

The clubman of the year award went to Bob Hutt and the young player of the year was Alex Odell.

The most improved player award went to Dane Tuttlebee.
