Band Jam Big Bash this Sunday
MUSIC lovers young and old can enjoy an afternoon of free live performances in Buckingham town centre on Sunday.
Headliners at this year's BandJam Big Bash will be the Bedfordshire-based blues-rock band Horseman Shakes and the Draymen and the Cardiff rock band Dirty Youth.
Also appearing will be bands Progression, Baedecker, Lionsex, Hey You Crazy Kids, the Henry Parker Band and The Bromptons.
The event is funded by Buckingham Town Council and organised by BandJam, a long-running Buckingham group dedicated to promoting local musical talent.
Councillor Robin Stuchbury, chairman of Buckingham Town Council's events committee, said: "The council is very pleased to be once again working in collaboration with BandJam to put on a free day of quality music in Buckingham town centre.
"All the community can share in a totally free event.
"Please bring your friends, neighbours and relations and take this opportunity to enjoy something that's become quite an important part of the town's calendar.
"Organisers Colin, Sean and Dusty will be there to welcome you on the day. It's a chance for families to get together before children go back to school or off to university."
The event will run from 1pm to 10pm in Market Hill. Food stalls will be available all day.
