A huge barn fire will take three days to die down after 600 tonnes of baled hay caught alight.

Fire crews from seven different stations rushed to the fire this morning, Tuesday, after a phone call from a member of the public shortly after midnight.

The fire filled the 20m x 30m barn in Oatleys Road, Turweston.

Police officers, who were also on the scene, have launched an investigation but say the fire will take three days to be put out.

A spokesman from Thames Valley Police said: “Arson is not being ruled out but more will be known after the investigation takes place.”
