FUNDRAISERS for a team taking part in the Buckingham Relay For Life are holding a May Fayre at Buckingham Rugby Club on Sunday, May 6.

Members of Julie’s Guardian Angels have already held a quiz night in Akeley in February and a cake stall on Buckingham Market in March.

Now they’re laying on a fun-filled family afternoon, from 2pm to 5pm, with stalls, cream teas, a bouncy castle, face-painting and games.

Spokesman Julie Pegg, from Buckingham, said the team of 22, ranging in age from six to 75, have already raised £1,400 for Cancer Research UK.

The Relay For Life takes place over 24 hours at Bourton Meadow School, from noon on Saturday, June 16. Team members take it in turns to walk round a track, and the relay continues non-stop through the night. Teams camp out on site, with one member of each team on the track at all times.
