Find out about becoming a volunteer at one of our stately homes at a drop-in open day.
Stowe House is set to be opening its new state-of-the-art visitor centre next autumn.
And it needs to recruit a lot of new volunteers to work alongside the existing team of volunteers to help run the new facility.
The Volunteering Open Day is on Friday, November 21.
Drop in between 2pm and 6pm at Stowe House (access via the Stowe School entrance) and discover more about the exciting plans.
You will be able to have an informal chat with existing volunteers and staff, who will show you around and outline the various roles and opportunities that are available.
They will also be able to answer your questions and discuss with you how you caouold best fit into the team, depending on how much time you may have to give, your previous experience and areas of interest.
Refreshments will be provided.
Volunteering at Stowe can be very rewarding.
Not only do you have a unique chance to explore the magnificence building and its history, but you also get to enjoy the social side of spending time with the other the volunteers, with regular coffee mornings, visits to other properties and volunteer get-togethers.
Roles include visitor assistants, tour guides, room stewards and members of the community and learning team, helping to make Stowe accessible for children, young people and the local community.
