A new group commemorating the role of the Bicester Battalion of the Home Guard is hosting an open evening next week so members of the public can find out more about future plans.
The Bicester Home Guard Living History Group, which made its debut appearance at the Bicester Carnival, will help people learn more about the Home Front in Britain during the Second World War.
The ‘Meet the Home Guard’ event will be held next Wednesday, July 17, start at 8.15pm in Launton Parish Hall.
Visitors can meet group members, find out more about the Home Guard, and discover future plans. See www.bicesterhomeguard.org or contact Andy Hunter on 07841 477771 for details.
