Bingo lovers have raised an astonishing £7,400 for charity in the past year.

Sue and Tiddler Carter, who run bingo nights at on Sundays and Thursdays at Buckingham Community Centre, handed over cheques to seven charities.

All the money has been raised from the raffles, bonus balld and donations on the evenings.

Brian Jarvis received £1,400 on behalf of Winslow-based Alec’s Angels, and £1,000 each was received by Paresh Nar for Macmillan Cancer Care, Ally Clarke for Prostate Cancer UK, Tony Franklin for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance, Bill Hall for the Buckingham Stroke Group and Sally Wilson for Cancer Research UK.
