Brackley Leisure Centre is up there with the best following its success during a recent audit.

Quest is the UK quality scheme for sport and leisure supported by Sport England and a recent assessment saw the leisure centre at the number one spot for the delivery of health and fitness, out of 144 centres across the UK.

The centre also scored excellent in key aspects such as financial management and performance, health and safety management, business planning, cleaning and housekeeping.

Brian Taylor, chairman of the South Northants Leisure Trust said: “This is a proud moment for the team, whose commitment and dedication to the centre has delivered this prestigious award.

“We will continue to strive for continuous improvements and lead from the front in increasing active participation and the delivery of health and fitness provision.”

The trust has put the success down to an investment of £154,000, which saw the launch of a new gym space with bespoke circuit training equipment and studio cycling space.
