Brackley news: Change of location for council office

THE South Northants Council customer service centre in Brackley will close at the end of this month and reopen at the Manor Library on April 1.

The centre is moving to the library as SNC team up with Northants County Council to save money while protecting services.

Councillor Andrew Wilby, SNC’s portfolio holder for community engagement, said: “These are challenging financial times but SNC is committed to protecting priority services, and we will continue to look for more innovative ways of doing so.”

The existing office will close at 4pm on Friday, March 25, and the new office in the library will open at 10am on Friday, April 1. The combination of the library, council offices and Sure Start Centre (which is also within the library building) in one location will act as a community hub in Brackley. Also from 1 April 2011, the administration of bus passes will pass to NCC.
