WHAT a swell party it was!

Brackley Women’s Institute enjoyed it’s annual dinner without a hitch.

The ladies were greeted at the door with a glass of sherry or fruit juice, and the tables were set ready for the feast.

Each was adorned with beautiful fresh flowers.

President Margaret Barrington, greeted one and all and remarked how well everyone looked, having dressed up for the occasion.

After prayers were said and the meal finished and enjoyed, Olive Smith was congratulated for having reached the milestone of 100 years old on February 14.

She was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers to recognise her achievement.

On a small table at the top of the room sat a fantastic birthday cake, complete with pristine white icing and wonderful dainty pink decorations.

Olive was asked to cut the cake and everyone posed happily for photographs.

The group then sang Happy Birthday.

Raffle gifts were distributed and the WI expressed it’s thanks to caterers First Choice and to Gill Zachar and Pam Stocker who had organised the dinner.
