HOUSING association staff raised over £630 during a special breakfast in aid of a partially paralysed 49-year-old stroke victim.

Father of four Andrew Lawless, suffered two strokes within 10 months of each other and has been left partially blind and paralysed down one side of his body. He needs to raise over £6,000 for an electric wheelchair to help him get around. The breakfast was held at the offices of South Northants Homes in Towcester and was spearheaded by SNH staff member Gordon Richardson who met Mr Lawless in Milton Keynes Hospital last year after he had also suffered a stroke.

Mr Richardson said: “We are now up to about £4200, so we are really close to getting Andrew what he needs. He can’t wait to get it so he can pick his kids up from school and go and watch them play football.”
