BICESTER Avenue Garden Centre will join fundraisers around the country in supporting the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday, September 30.

More than 43,000 official coffee mornings were held last year, raising £8million to help people affected by cancer.

Free tea and coffee will be available at the garden centre from 9am to noon, and customers will be invited to make a donation.

Garden centre manager Adrian Drake said: “We hope lots of people come along to the event and help us support this worthy cause.”

And visitors to Cottisford and Juniper Hill can raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support at an event next Sunday, September 25.

Lark Rise Cottage, former home of Lark Rise to Candleford author Flora Thompson, will host a coffee morning starting at 10.30am.
