AT Winslow’s Royal British Legion branch its annual awards presentation last week, 12 people received recognition for their services.

Irene Hickory has been Women’s Section secretary for the last eight years.

Pat Lawrence has been a Women’s Section helper for many years.

Margaret Langley has been Women’s Section chairman for six years and is a local Winslow Poppy Appeal organiser.

Maureen French has been a local Winslow Poppy appeal organiser for 10 years.

Pauline Edwards is a very important member of the Poppy Appeal team.

George Langley is a past chairman, branch standard bearer and a longstanding committee member.

Dai Edwards is a most important member of the Poppy Appeal team.

Colin Galloni is branch president and has been treasurer for the past six years.

Graham Reed has been branch secretary for over 10 years.

Ray Phillips MBE is a longstanding club president and official for many years.

Brian Smith has done outstanding work as branch welfare officer.

And David Rowlands received a national award of a gold badge for outstanding service as parade marshal, branch chairman and poppy appeal organiser.
