A man and a woman broke bones and had to be treated in hospital after a three-car smash at a main road junction.

A red Alfa Romeo crashed with a dark-coloured Ford Mondeo and a silver Land Rover around 5.50pm on Saturday at the A4421 Buckingham Road junction with the Poundon turn.

The 26-year-old driver of the Alfa Romeo broke his pelvis and suffered internal bleeding. He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for treatment.

The driver of the Mondeo, a 57-year-old woman, broke her foot and was also taken to the John Radcliffe for treatment.

PC Duncan Vale from Roads Policing in Bicester said: “I am particularly interested to speak to anyone who may have seen the red coloured Alfa Romeo or a blue Citroen driving along the A4421 from Bicester towards Buckingham on Saturday prior to this collision happening.”
