£145,000 revamp at Kingsley Road Co-op store
SHOPPERS at the Co-operative Food store in Kingsley Road in Bicester are set to have a greater choice of fresh produce following a £145,000 revamp.
Investment in the store will create a new layout and a new kiosk, and allow it to stock a bigger range of fresh goods.
Store manager David George said: “We operate in the heart of the community and by doing so provide an ideal location for people to shop locally.
“It is important that we continue to meet people’s needs and provide a welcoming environment in which to shop.
“Upgrading the store will freshen up the shopping experience and improve the vitality of the local area, and I look forward to welcoming customers into the new-look store.”
Seasonal ranges of fruit and vegetables will be introduced throughout the year.
News of the investment comes after the Co-op supermarket in Bicester Market Square closed its doors in November.
The vacant unit, at the corner of Market Square and Dean’s Court, is set to be occupied by a Wilkinson hardware store.
