Bicester’s Blockbuster store appears to have survived a second round of closures as administrators announced the results of an ongoing review today.

The DVD and game rental store in the Causeway was not on a list of 164 more stores earmarked for closure by administrators Deloitte.

Administrator Lee Manning said: “We have continued to review the performance of individual stores since our appointment a month ago and have concluded that further closures are necessary in order to restructure the company for sale.”

He thanked the company’s employees for their support and professionalism, and said Deloitte was also grateful for the continued support of customers.
