Anew estate agent, who has only just moved house himself, is helping to turn the traditional model on its head.
Jez Vibert, of Maids Moreton, has joined EweMove.com, and is working in the Buckingham and Brackley areas.
EweMove, which has been operating since 2005, is an online sales and letting agent, which has recently won a bronze for innovation at the Lettings Agency of the Year Awards.
Mr Vibert, who has recently moved from Mixbury with his wife and two young children, used to be head of marketing for WRAP before he was made redundant.
Now he has turned his hand to being an estate agent.
He said: “I worked in construction for many years so I have also been on the other side of property.
“I was looking for an opportunity which would allow me to work closer to home as I have two young children who go to school in Buckingham.
“I wanted to work for a business which was firstly interesting but also which was ethical.”
EweMove allows people to book appointments and viewings online. All the administration is done centrally for the franchises around the country.
Mr Vibert said: “There are more than 50 of us who live in the community we work in so we can do face to face appointments, but we leave the grunt work to the admin team.
“That means we are open 24/7 with a helpline available but which means I work when purchasers are looking to buy houses including evenings and weekends.”
The firm lists properties through the major property portals including Zoopla and Rightmove.
