People from the Bicester area who want to get involved in Oxfordshire’s growing construction sector can attend information and question and answer sessions this month and next.

The Construction Training Made Simple events will be held in Kidlington on Tuesday, July 23, and on Tuesday, August 13.

The sessions are being hosted by the social enterprise firm ACE Training, and will be held at 15a Stationfield Industrial Estate.

Sessions run from 7.30am to 9am, and from 4pm to 6pm both days.

They have been especially timed to allow visitors to attend before or after work, and will include trade stands from groups including Site Safety UK and Oxfordshire County Council.

The events can help employers who may be thinking about staff training, or taking on an apprentice in bricklaying or carpentry.

In April, Ofsted praised ACE Training’s learner success rate as “outstanding”.

The organisation hosts regular open days for potential trainees and schools.
