FINALISTS have been announced in a new awards ceremony celebrating the brightest and best in the north Oxfordshire business community.
Shortlisted candidates in the Cherwell Business Awards have only weeks to wait until winners are announced at a gala awards dinner in Bicester on March 30.
Nine categories are included in this year’s awards.
Ben Jackson, chairman of Bicester and District Chamber of Commerce, said: “The response has already been incredibly positive and the effort put in by the organising team is outstanding.
“The district really does have businesses that are worth shouting about and the awards have clearly demonstrated this fact.”
Categories are: Small Business sponsored by Stockdale; Tourism, Hospitality & Leisure sponsored by Chiltern Railways; New Business sponsored by Bloxham Mill; Innovation sponsored by Prodrive; Recruitment & Training sponsored by Oxford and Cherwell Valley College; Large Business sponsored by Spratt Endicott; Sustainable sponsored by Castle Quay; Business Person sponsored by Ellacotts; and Charity & Community sponsored by Cloud 9.
The event has been organised by the Bicester and Banbury chambers of commerce, Bicester Vision and Cherwell District Council.
Bicester Vision manager Placi Espejo said: “With the Cherwell Business Awards we can create a momentum which companies will be able to take advantage of to promote and sell their company to potential clients in the area and the rest of the county.”
