Five local firms are leading the way to help ensure the future of the Buckingham, Winslow and District CAB (BACAB).

At a reception in Buckingham’s Chantry Chapel last Friday, MP for Buckingham John Bercow paid tribute to Buckingham Group Contracting, Buckingham Plant Hire, Buckingham Colour Quest, Natco Foods and Vitalograph, which have collectively pledged to donate more than half of the target of £15,000 per year for five years.

Mr Bercow praised the high calibre of the CAB’s work.

And he warned that the cuts to local government expenditure, which are hitting public services, are only going to get worse so it was vital for the future of the CAB that
other local businesses also play an increasing role in its funding.

Managing director of the Buckingham Group, Paul Wheeler, congratulated BACAB on its outstanding contribution to the quality of life in the local community. And Natco Foods managing director, Luke Pagarani, spoke about his company’s belief that everyone has a duty to assess how they can contribute to a more just society.
