Get involved in county’s broadband-boosting bid

Members of the public are being urged to give their views over Oxfordshire’s efforts to provide faster and more reliable broadband.

The county’s OxOnline programme aims to bring better broadband to Oxfordshire by 2015, and a new public consultation is giving residents a chance to comment on the guiding principles.

The OxOnline project was set up to take advantage of the government’s Broadband Delivery UK funding.

Comments from members of the public will be published in a report, and will be used as part of the county’s tendering process when it comes to choosing a broadband provider.

Residents are being asked to fill in a short questionnaire, and the deadline for responses is Monday, October 22.

For more information, email oxonline@oxfordshire.gov.uk or contact Oxfordshire County Council on 01865 815038.
