An independent Porsche specialist based in Weston-on-the-Green is marking its 40th anniversary with a striking birthday logo.
Autofarm Ltd, which offers everything from car sales and parts to valeting and storage services, has created an image using only Porsche model cars, following a tradition that started on its 25th birthday.
Autofarm was formed in 1973 when co-founders Josh Sadler and Steve Carr bought a crash-damaged Porsche 911, which led to the creation of a fledgling parts business.
Its participation in Porsche motorsport as a sponsor, racer and preparer in the ‘70s and ‘80s helped establish it as a specialist.
Today, the business caters for sales, servicing, restoration, engine rebuilds and competition preparation from its farm location outside Bicester.
Mr Sadler said: “Car sales and servicing are both exceptionally brisk and alongside three long term restoration projects, we also have two of our custom Autofarm 911s to complete this year.”
A former factory prototype restored by Autofarm, a Porsche 911 ST, will be driven by Mr Sadler in selected races this year.
Steve Wood, a renowned racer and race car preparation specialist, has also been appointed to lead the workshop side of the business.
Autofarm’s workshop offers servicing using accredited diagnostics equipment, as well as sales, parts, race preparation, restoration and engine rebuilds.
Its road, race and rally engine experience led the company to develop Silsleeve, a method of repairing damaged modern Porsche cylinder blocks. Autofarm also enjoys close links with Porsche and Porsche owners’ clubs.
