Store marks first birthday
Members of staff from Bicester’s Wilkinson store have marked the milestone of a year’s successful trading.
Staff held a fundraising fancy dress birthday party, raising £50 for the store’s charity of the year, Macmillan Cancer Support.
Claire Hilsdon, store manager, said: “We wanted to congratulate all our team members on their loyalty and commitment to the company and we feel privileged to have worked with such great personalities over the past year.”
Catriona Munn, a spokesman for Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “We are very grateful for all the fundraising which the Bicester store has taken part in and we’d like to congratulate the team on its first birthday – here’s to many more.”
The firm is still family-owned after more than 80 years of trading, and has 372 stores across the UK.
