The Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted will be selling Christmas trees for the first time this December.

A selection of tree sizes and festive door garlands will be on sale from Friday.

Prices start at £30 for the high-quality, non-drop Nordmann firs, and profits will go to the hospice to fund its vital care this Christmas.

The trees will be available at the hospice, on Spring Garden Lane, off Shootersway from 9amto 6pm every day, apart from Sunday, December 6, when sales will end at noon.

Car parking is available in the hospice’s beautiful grounds and there will be the opportunity to have a look around the gardens and see the Christmas Tree of Remembrance, which will be lit up at night throughout the season.

Hospice spokesman David Brodala said: “These are the only Christmas trees available locally where all the profits go to a charity this Christmas.”

Christmas cards are also on sale in the hospice’s main reception and in its local shops.
