JAMES Maddock and Roger Churchill headed up a team of 20 local people to cycle from Land’s End to Great Horwood.

The 350-mile cycle ride started on Thursday , May 26, from Lands End, with the team finally pedalling cycled their way back into Great Horwood on Friday afternoon

They were greeted by their families and a party at James’ home in Singleborough.

The ride has raised £6,400 in sponsorship for the charity CHAT (Children, Health And Therapy).

Based in Aylesbury, CHAT pays for essential respite for families in Bucks who have children with complex health needs.

The total amount raised by the cyclists will pay for 200 hours of nursing care.

CHAT was set up in June 2003 to support children with individual health needs in Bucks. Find out more about the charity’s work by visiting its stand at the Winslow Show on bank holiday Monday, August, 29, or the Bucks County Show at Weedon on September 1.
