A second concert in aid of the church organ restoration fund is taking place tomorrow, Saturday.
The evening of songs and music by Henry Purcell and his French contemporaries takes place at 7.30pm at Buckingham Parish Church.
The Eisenach Ensemble, with singers Cate McKee and Angela Hicks, present a programme of vocal and instrumental music which provide a glimpse into the musical life of London and Paris at the end of the 17th century.
The two sopranos are accompanied by viols, voice flutes, theorbo and harpsichord.
The Eisenach Ensemble recently performed this programme at St John’s, Smith Square, in London.
The group, which boasts five local musicians, with four from Buckingham itself, has received much attention over the last year.
Phoebe Butler, who grew up locally and was educated at Thornton College and the Royal Latin School, won the early music competition and a recital at the Greenwich International Exhibition in November with her group Ensemble Bergamasca.
Tickets £10, students £5, on the door or reserve via firstname.lastname@example.org
