RESIDENTS of Charlton near Croughton are jubilant after winning an extra special boost from Co-operative Food for their forthcoming Queen’s Diamond Jubilee street party celebrations.

Valerie Bilssett, from Brackley Road in Charlton, won a Jubilee street party pack from the Co-op for the Jubilee street party she has organised to be held at the Village Hall, including a share of a £10,000 party fund.

Mrs Bilssett will receive a party pack filled with essentials for up to 50 people alongside £100 worth of Co-operative vouchers to spend on food, after impressing judges with her community spirit and plans for their street party.

Mrs Bilssett said: “We are all absolutely over the moon to receive a Jubilee street pack prize from The Co-operative.

“The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is the perfect excuse to bring our local community together and this prize will really help make our celebrations even more memorable.”
