South Northants residents are being told to take ‘ownership’ of their communities ahead of Day of Action in Towcester next week.

Between 1.30pm and 7pm on Thursday, December 6 the Daventry District and South Northants Community Safety Partnership (CSP) will be joined by the Northants mobile police station at the Towcester Riverside Centre in Islington Road

Members of the community can discuss any local issues and there will also be a litter pick of the area.

The Vision Youth Café for 11 to 19-year-olds will also open its doors from 1pm to 6pm to show visitors, and potential volunteers, what events and projects they have planned.

CSP vice chairman Rosie Herring said: “I would urge locals to go along, get involved and really take ownership of their community and help improve their area.”
