Firefighters in Buckinghamshire will be striking this weekend.
But a spokesman for Bucks Fire & Rescue Service said emergency cover will still be provided during the stike and people should still call 999 in an emergency.
The strike is part of a dispute betweenthe Fire Brigades Union and the government over firefighters’ pensions:
Firefighters will be on strike from noon to 5pm on Friday, from 2pm on Saturday to 2am on Sunday and from 10am to 3pm on Sunday.
During these periods of industrial action, Bucks Fire & Rescue Service will prioritise emergency calls where lives are at risk.
It will also continue to provide as much information as possible to help people avoid having a fire or other emergency – not just during strike periods, but all year
